Summer

Photogallery There are certainly plenty of opportunities of practising sports in Val di Sole. Besides the major sports centres, there are playgrounds, fitness courses in the greenery, tennis courts, soccer grounds, bowling courts and multifunctional grounds for basket and volleyball throughout the Valley.
There are sports facilities for various sports: athletic tracks and springboards at Dimaro, bowling alleys at Presson, a miniature golf course at Mezzana, a centre for fishing sports at Monclassico, a public swimming pool at Malè, archery grounds (at malè, Caldes, Folgarida, Mezzana, Tonale, Cogolo), an Alpine horse-ridinc centre at Pellizzano (tel. 0463/751552) for those who like horse riding.
Furthermore, horse stables are available at the Centro Ippico Val di Sole (Dimaro, tel. 0463/974476), a dog board by the Agritur Solasna at S.Giacomo di Caldes (tel.0463/902073), rock-climbing schools for training preparation in order to go on safe ascents (at Malè, Tonale, Folgarida, Cogolo), and it is also possible to try ski-jumping (on grass) from the Pellizzano ski jump.
To all those who love mountain bike excursions, Val di Sole gives great satisfaction. The guide book "Mountain Bike in Val di Sole" (available at all the tourist offices in the different villages) is dedicated especially to mountain bike lovers; it suggests some itineraries with technical information, cycling hours and hints for different approaches - both competition and entertainment. There is something for everybody. From the easy 1 hour ride on the right side of river Noce, near Malè, to the quite hardy "alpinistic" tour that leads to an altitude of over 2,000 m, at the foot of Monte Vioz (35 km, 1,000 m difference in height, 4 hours cycling). An itinerary you should not miss if you love cycling tours is the one that follows the ancient "Emperor's Road": starting from Dimaro you reach Madonna di Campiglio and return, always within the Adamello-Brenta Nature reserve, under the rocky walls of the Dolomites (35 km, 1,200 m difference in height, 4 hours ride; cycling is possible with almost no interruptions).

The cycle track

A fairly even network of almost 50 km with no traffic and dotted with relay stations with banks and drinking fountains : Val di Sole cycle track, mostly winding along the River Noce, allows children and grown-ups alike to enjoy themselves and keep fit, cycling amongst an enchanting environment with plenty of details to be discovered.

Summer skiing at Passo Tonale

Another important opportunity in Val di Sole is summer skiing on the Presena glacier, where lifts and slopes are open even during the summer. (guaranteed until mid-july approx.).
